Jiangsu Sierbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shenghong Group, with a total investment of approximately 35 billion yuan and more than 5000 employees. The company mainly produces alcohol based multi linked chemical raw materials (DMTO), and uses this to create a new petrochemical industry cluster and develop high-end petrochemicals.

This project utilizes the rich carbon dioxide tail gas emitted from the upstream EO/EG unit to construct 70000 tons/year of liquid carbon dioxide as downstream EC/DMC chemical raw materials. The unit is contracted by our EP general contractor and has undergone all professional engineering design, procurement, and supply (E+P mode). It adopts patented processes of catalytic oxidation, dehydrogenation, and multi-stage liquefaction distillation purification to ensure product quality meets the "GB 1886.228-2016 National Food Safety Standard for Food Additive Carbon Dioxide" and "GB/T23938-2021 High Purity Carbon Dioxide Quality Standard". The product is used for downstream DMC and has been put into operation in March 2024. This project meets the national "dual carbon" goal and relevant policies, truly realizing the resource utilization of carbon dioxide.
